News and Trends from International Quilt Market

SEPTEMBER

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND
QUILT MARKET?

If you’re doing business in the quilting industry, chances are, you’re qualified to attend Quilt Market. (And if you aren’t sure, check out our Credential Requirements.)

Now that we’ve established the who, let’s talk about the why.

Market is, first and foremost, a trade show, and the only of its kind devoted to the quilting industry. The show—which includes over 1,000 exhibitor booths—is the place for retailers to purchase quilting supplies, fabrics, sewing, knitting, and needlework materials. All in one place, and entirely in person.

It’s also an opportunity to meet directly with the people making the goods being sold in shops and online. And—through demos, Take & Teach classes, and Schoolhouse sessions—a chance to learn about each new product, its design, its inspiration, and how to best sell or teach consumers about products, fabrics, patterns, and books directly from the people who put their heart into creating them.

No matter what area of the quilt world you fit into, Quilt Market provides an opportunity to network with others in the industry, to meet new people and make connections with individuals and companies who can help you grow your business or your presence.

If you’ve already made plans to attend this year’s Quilt Market in Houston, we look forward to seeing you again…or meeting you for the first time! And if you’re still on the fence, we hope you’ll consider joining us. We promise you’ll walk away with a whole lot more than new products!

Are you a quilt shop or business owner? Online retailer? Designer? Author?
Book publisher? Teacher? Sales or marketing representative? Longarm quilter? Journalist, writer, or quilting personality?
