CAROLINA GINGHAM

From Robert Kaufman Fabrics

There is something truly timeless and versatile about the classic gingham pattern. And the new Carolina Gingham collection (and Carolina Gingham 1” variation) from Robert Kaufman features an equally classic and simple color-on-white palette. The cotton yarn-dyed fabric is suited for a number of projects, and can be dressed up (think formal bowtie) or dressed down (casual picnic) and everything in between.

WANDERLUST QUILTS

10 MODERN PROJECTS INSPIRED
BY CLASSIC ART & ARCHITECTURE

by Amanda Leins

Retail: $24.95 (book); $14.99 (eBook)

As the title suggests, this new title from C&T Publishing features 10 quilt and pillow projects that take their inspiration from classical art, design, and architecture. Author Leins has combined her love of world travel and archaeological studies to create designs with a global yet timeless feel. Also included are the stories and photos that inspired each project, as well as tips and techniques for improvisational piecing, creating a scalloped binding, and transforming a sketch into a quilt design.

GOOD HAIR DAY

From Windham Fabrics

For this new fabric collection, designer Kim Anderson found inspiration in good hair days. Not perfect hair, but rather “that feeling you get when the stars align and your hair looks great.” The collection’s prints capture that air of whimsy and happy happenstance with wispy florals, braids, and bows, repeating pins, and loosely drawn styling tools. And though the collection is infused with splashes of bold color, the overall color palette remains sophisticated and restrained.

SOCIAL BUTTERFLY MINI

From Lella Boutique

Retail: $6.50

eInsider was quite smitten with the full-sized Social Butterfly pattern from designer Vanessa Goertzen that adorned her spring Market booth. But what might be even more delightful than the original is this miniature version featuring a single butterfly block. The finished version measures only 11 ½” squared, making it a small project with big appeal!
