The latest addition to designer Susan Knapp’s Six Halves Make a Whole series, this new release includes sweet quilt patterns to be made for baby (an idea that Knapp pursued upon becoming a grandmother!). As with the rest of the series, each project in the book starts with six half-yard fabric cuts and adds accents and backgrounds. The book also includes a set of letters and numbers, so users can personalize each project for its pint-sized recipient.

Although not entirely new, this adorable patriotic-themed wallhanging pattern from Mixi Heart is totally appropriate for the upcoming summer months. The project uses a variety of techniques (including beginner-friendly methods), and finishes to approximately 20” x 60.” The pattern also includes a separate layout guide that uses the wallhanging blocks adapted to make a table topper, as well as a pattern for a 72” x 72” lap quilt featuring the main pieced block.
