WHAT’S TRENDING: HALLOWEEN SPIRITS
As we ease into the autumn season (emphasis on ease, since it’s still feeling a lot like summer in much of the country), we’ve started seeing nods to Halloween in stores—aisles of bulk candy and bins of pumpkins at the supermarket, and those built-in-a-day costume retailers that pop up in vacant strip mall spaces around this time every year.
Sure, the kid-favorite holiday is still over a month away, but now is the perfect time to start working on those Halloween-themed projects. So, for this edition of eInsider, we’re highlighting the host of “spooky,” “spellbound,” and “haunted” fabrics available in stores today.
Note: Although most of the fabric collections featured are not brand new releases, all are still available through retailers, either in store or online.
RILEY BLAKE DESIGNS
The company offers several Halloween-appropriate fabric collections, including the creepy-but-cute Zombie Love, Trick-or-Treat-themed Ghouls & Goodies (which also includes several glow-in-the-dark prints), and Lost & Found Halloween, which includes witch-themed newsprint among its designs.

The Cotton + Steel designers offer two fun and modern collaborative takes on the theme—
BOO! and Spellbound—both of which include prints that don’t limit themselves to the Halloween holiday.
ALEXANDER HENRY FABRICS
Likewise, Alexander Henry offers several unique fabric collections that would feel right at home in a Halloween project or any other begging for a unique, edgy aesthetic, including The Ghastlies, Skullduggery, and Haunted House.
ANDOVER FABRICS
The company offers an elegant take on the skeleton design with its Chillingsworth collections, which also include the Chillingsworth Halloween Special, Chillingsworth Bicycle Race, and Chillingsworth Spooky Ride.
Andover’s The House that Jack Built, on the other hand, features cute, kid-friendly prints honoring the popular British nursery rhyme of the same name.
WILMINGTON PRINTS
Among the company’s holiday-themed collections are three— Here for the Boos, Come Sit a Spell, and Something Wicked—featuring wholly Halloween-centric designs in the classic orange-and-black color scheme.
QUILTING TREASURES
Quilting Treasures’ Halloween collections offer a little something of every design style, from its vintage-illustration-inspired Sew Scary to its festive Potions & Spells to its “spooktacular” Creepy Hollow.
Other Halloween-themed collections worth noting include Henry Glass & Co.’s Spellbound, Timeless Treasures’ aptly named Halloween, Moda’s Spooky Delights, and Maywood Studio’s folk-art-themed Pumpkin Party.
