The Firefly Glow Y Block Ruler from quilter/designer Cathey M. Laird streamlines the construction process of creating identical quarter-square triangle (QST) units with no bias edges or mirror imaging. These QST units can be used to create one-inch to 6 ½-inch Y blocks and quarter-square triangle blocks, as well as over 50 other quilt blocks. Laird also offers 14 different patterns that utilize the Y Block Ruler.
